Meet Omar Cruz

Omar Cruz, a Senior Technical Services Specialist, is a past microbiology senior manager for a large multinational pharmaceutical company, among other quality control leadership roles at several drug manufacturing firms. He is an industrial microbiologist with 28 years of in-depth technical experience in contamination control within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. He has been involved in the design, execution, overseeing, and mentoring of several disinfectant efficacy qualification studies for different pharmaceutical cultures, including the creation of a disinfectant lifecycle program. In addition, he was responsible for the design, optimization, and management of several environmental monitoring programs. He conducted microbiological out-of-specification investigations, including aseptic process simulation and sterility failures investigations. Also, has in-depth technical experience in pharmaceutical microbiology testing qualification. He speaks both Spanish and English.
