Almost 80% of Contec Contamination Control Assessments (CCA) result in recommendations that have been implemented by the CCA recipient to improve contamination control practices and enhance process and product quality.
Conducted by our Technical Services Group of experts, there is no “one size fits all” approach to a Contamination Control Assessment as every end user and facility is different. The CCA is tailored to the unique needs of the assessment site. Each CCA follows the same format of Plan, Observe and Report.
A typical CCA tour takes 2-3 hours to complete – a small commitment for potentially significant benefit. Together, we will determine the specific cleaning and disinfection protocols, procedures, and tools that we are going to evaluate in your facility. The team will then observe and speak with personnel in Operations, Quality, Production, Engineering, etc. to identify potential process or procedural improvements.
Outcomes from the CCA activity include recommendations for improved cleaning and disinfection, solutions to identified problems, suggestions for SOP and protocol improvements, product consolidation and cost-saving opportunities, and assistance with appropriate personnel education and training.
A short time after the CCA tour and discussions, you will receive a written report that will include a summary of our observations and specific recommendations for improvement, where necessary, including suggestions for the use of specific tools or equipment.
As the need for remote and virtual options evolves so do our assessment capabilities. A CCA can be either:
CONSULT: Virtual meeting and discussion with one or more TSG experts.
REMOTE: Remote assessment with stationary or touring video observation with one or more TSG experts.
IN PERSON: A complete and thorough on-site assessment with one TSG expert.
By observing operations and cleanroom behaviours, Contec provides recommendations as to product suitability, contamination control protocols, best practices, and cost-saving opportunities. CCAs are a value-added service, consultative in nature and provided at no cost to the end user/customer.
